Training - Race Camps - British Children Championships and Scottish Alpine (FIS) Championships

Date: 8th - 11th April 2008
Easter Race Camp – Meribel, France

The British Alpine Race Academy, will be running a race camp in Meribel, France to cover the British Children's Championships as well as the Scottish (FIS) Championships. Those athletes that wish to join us on this camp are asked to complete the online Booking and submit it as soon as possible. It is important that we know numbers as soon as possiblefor us to be able to guarantee places. We have booked superb catered chalets, all next door to each other. These proved a big hit with parents and racers last year and places went very quick.

If you are not raveling with us from the academy and are not already in Meribel having attended the Senior Championships we can collect you from Chambery airport. We would recommend using the flights listed on the flight details page on this web site, as other racers are using these flights and it will ensure we can collect you and keep your transfer costs to a minimum. To go to the flight details page from here click on the following link: flight times . Please contact us before booking your flight so that we can ensure everyone arrives/departs on the same flight or same approximate times. This will ensure you are not waiting around at airports for longer than necessary. If your flight time means that you have a long wait for us to collect you, there is a very good bus transfer service from the airport to Moutiers where you can get the local bus to the resort, we can then collect you at the resort bus station and take you straight to our accommodation. Alternatively we can collect you from Moutiers.

Chambery Airport is served by Flybe, Jet2 and Ski Flights. To go to the travel page for links to these airline and other airlines please click on the following link travel. Try and book early to get the cheap flights.

Flights to and from Chambery do get booked up very early and can be expensive if booked late.

Flybe luggage allowance is only 20kgs per person, there is a separate charge for ski carriage. Jet2 also allows 20kgs per person and also charges for ski carriage. Click here for full details on Flybe baggage allowances.and here for Jet2 baggage allowance
